We have a great opportunity for a smart and energetic Senior Manager level candidate to join a very reputable multi-national industrial company in Saudi Arabia.  This role would be perfect for someone that has experience in managing joint venture formations processes in the kingdom and a thorough understanding of the registration process that goes with it.

As the Country Manager you would also need a strong background in sales, finance and leadership, gained within an industrial manufacturing,  Oil & Gas or Energy related sector, plus the ability to leverage your knowledge, experience and relationships to drive business and close revenue opportunities.

Job Purpose:

  • Manage the JV formation – set up and process
  • Register the company for necessary licenses and permits
  • Develop and grow the Saudi Arabia business
  • Drive and execute the country’s sales delivery in the designated end market sector.

Main Responsibilities

  • Developing a positive relationship with minority JV partner Management
  • Manage P&L and financial performance of the company
  • Prepare, with Finance support, consolidated budget and growth plans for country within internal process, including quarterly forecast submissions, monthly performance reports and accounts, sales plans and other KPI reports
  • Ensure records and books of accounts are kept up to date and all financial and other reports are prepared accurately and on a timely basis
  • Recruit and develop team members as appropriate, setting clear and measurable objectives and having regular performance conversations
  • Ensure the all staff health, safety and environmental issues for the company. Ensure governance and processes are respected and adhered to
  • Ensuring the company and its staff comply with all legal compliance obligations and policies
  • Work effectively through a matrix structure to build growth and strong, productive internal relationships that create benefit for multiple functions
  • Support the Growth Acceleration Plan where appropriate
  • Lead sales strategy for country, and delivery of sales against agreed targets
  • Direct customer ownership and sales activity; supporting, managing and coaching sales team to drive; customer penetration and profitability; end to end sales leadership across product portfolio
  • Customer ownership through team to drive excellent customer relationships
  • Lead sales teams towards company vision and strategy Services (indirect responsibility as Service Team will report directly through separate function)
  • Managing the company’s service engineers, ensuring they are deployed and used effectively and they are sufficiently skilled, qualified and experienced to perform their assigned roles
  • Ensuring the lean and efficient operation of the company’s manufacturing facilities, including the effective management of the company’s supply chain, stock and delivery performance

 Required Experience

  • Experience managing a business unit with both external customers and a manufacturing capability
  • Experience in setting up and developing a new business/facility
  • Strong senior sales experience in manufacturing (industrial engineering ideally) and accompanying proven track record of success
  • Experience in management for a medium or large multi-national corporation

Skills & Education:

  • Degree in a technical discipline
  • Fluent English, (spoken and written)
  • Capable of communicating at all levels
  • An appetite and ability to work collaboratively in a complex and matrixed business
  • Must have the ability to deal with different cultures throughout the region
  • Able to thrive in a changing business, embracing ambiguity and solving complex problems
