This is a newly created position in a new Shared Services Centre in Dubai (DIFC area). The Head of R2R for this company in the Telcos sector is accountable for the leadership of the brand new R2R team and reports to the Director of Shared Services

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and lead the establishment and development of the SSC R2R function
  • Drive R2R process standardization and continuous improvement
  • Influence a significantly wider group of business and financial stakeholders to deliver agreed SSC R2R objectives and performance
  • Ensure all processes are fully migrated to SSC from overseas
  • Drive efficiency, standardization and cost reduction, with an emphasis on repeatable scalable R2R processes
  • Oversee the development of R2R SLAs
  • Manage overall R2R resource allocations and budgets
  • Management overall SSC R2R team (around 8 people)
  • Ensures that all controls, policies, activities, and the deployment of resources within the SSC R2R function are consistent with the overall vision
  • Approval of R2R activities (e.g. management review of GL reconciliations and the approval of journals)

Requirements:

  • ACCA/CA/CPA qualified with minimum 10 years multinational/strong brand post qualification experience
  • Big 4 trained in earlier career
  • Telecoms experience essential
  • Willingness to work a British working week – Monday to Friday 11.30am-8.30pm
  • R2R start up experience
  • Expert knowledge of applicable IFRS and IAS (IFRS 9, 15, 16 and IAS 7,12, 16, 36 and 37)
  • Experience in operational management of an R2R shared services operation
  • Ability to attract, retain and motivate people
  • Expert knowledge in all aspects of R2R function and having the capability to work at a grass root level and train employees
  • Expert knowledge of R2R best practices and trends
  • Ability to work successfully in a process-driven environment with courage to challenge the status quo
  • Experience in working across multiple global entities and time zones
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills
  • Strong negotiation skills desired
  • Global culture mindset/fitment
