An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for a leading regional law firm, for their office in Riyadh. (Or Jeddah) The firm has had a presence in the Middle East for almost 40 years, with offices across the region including Dubai and 2 x offices in Saudi Arabia. The integration of offices across the region has resulted in a seamless cross-jurisdictional practice that is unlike most of their peers in the Saudi and UAE markets. The firm are in a unique position to provide legal advice to an international law firm standard supplemented with peerless local and regional knowledge. The team in each location comprises of experienced multinational advisers providing clients with a full range of legal services in relation to their local affairs. Many of their lawyers have formal training in Common (western) law, as well as civil law. Any successful candidate would be joining a successful multicultural team of lawyers who are versed in Arabic, French, German and Spanish.

Reporting to 2 Partners, this Associate position will work within the Litigation, Arbitration and Disputes practice.

Responsibilities will include advising and managing clients across various commercial litigation matters which include, customs disputes, labour, commercial disputes and collections.

The firm offer ongoing career development and are seeking a candidate who is solutions orientated, can take the lead on their own business clients (with support as necessary) and someone who is keen to develop their career within an ambitious firm.

Note: The client will consider candidates who are looking to be based in Jeddah OR Riyadh. (They have offices in both)

Education and/or Experience:

Essential:

  • Saudi National, Saudi Licensed Lawyer (Essential)
  • Minimum of 3- 5 years experience working in a disputes/Litigation focussed position
  • Excellent brief writing skills
  • Excellent English/Arabic Communication skills. (English should be fluent)
  • Common-Law Masters from a Western jurisdiction such as UK, USA, NZ, AUS
