We are recruiting for a Sales Manager to join a very reputable multi-national company that specialise in providing products and services to the oil & gas sector.

As a company, they employ over 23000 people in over 30 countries and have revenues of over $4Billion USD.

The Sales Manager will be ideally placed as a successor to the Country Manager.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

The Sales Manager operates at a Senior Level to join the team and develop and manage accounts with oil and gas operators. The successful candidate will act as the focal point of contact, responsible for managing the day-to-day activities and requirements for the customers. The Sales Manager serves to understand the customers’ demands and plan how to meet their expectations.

• Operates as the focal point of contact for assigned customers

• Develops and maintains long-term relationships with accounts

• Is responsible for the Demand planning activity; establish with the client follow-up and revision meetings regarding the medium and long-term forecast and liaise with the internal departments for the orders replenishment activity.

• Communicates client needs and demands to internal departments

• Follows the status of the orders at the production mills, and keep the customer informed periodically about the progress. In case of manufacturing and/or deliveries delay, analyses the impact of such delays and escalates internally in search for a resolution. Carry out post-sales relates activities.

• Responsible to follow with the customer the definition of short-term consumption forecast, following the progress of the operations offshore and coordinates the Ready for Rig activities and another related service with the local Supply Chain team.

• Develops and agrees with the customer the set of the KPI to be implemented in order to follow and asses the contract’s performance

• Responsible for carrying out the offer engineering, including 3rd party products and post-process quotations

• Sales order initialization and the purchase order acknowledgment

• Interact and coordinate with other departments and colleagues working on the same account

• Identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts

• Ensure compliance in the delivery of products and services in accordance with the customer’s required dates.

• Keeping meticulous records of client transactions, following the company processes and procedures

Minimum Requirements

  • A degree in Engineering or business-related subjects is preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years working in oil & gas sector sales
  • Confident and able to communicate effectively both on the phone and face to face
  • Candidates must have excellent relationship building and management skills
  • Solutions driven
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills and the ability to deflate any conflicts with clients
